Day 1: Family Reunion Lake Retreat
- Morning: Gather your family at the cabin in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and kick off your reunion with a delicious homemade breakfast. Let everyone pitch in to cook and share stories over steaming cups of coffee.
- Late Morning: Head to the lake and rent a boat (or two) from one of the local marinas, such as Beavers Bend Marina or Broken Bow Lake Marina. Spend the day exploring the crystal-clear waters of Broken Bow Lake. Tubing on the lake is one of our favorite family activities,.
- Lunch: Bring a cooler and pack your lunch to eat on the boat. We like to order groceries ahead of time at Pruett’s so we have everything we need.
- Afternoon: Continue your lake adventure with more boating fun! Broken Bow is a great fishing lake, so don’t forget your fishing license if you plan to catch a few!
- Evening: Return to the cabin for a relaxing evening together. No one likes to cook after a day on the lake, so get some pizza and take it easy!

Day 2: Cabin Games and Bonding Time
- Morning: Start the day with a hearty breakfast cooked in the cabin’s fully equipped kitchen. Let everyone join in the cooking process and fuel up for a day of family fun.
- Late Morning: Set up a variety of cabin games both indoors and outdoors for some friendly competition and bonding time. From board games to lawn games like cornhole or ladder toss, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
- Lunch: Take a break from the games and enjoy a relaxed lunch together in the cabin. Keep it simple with sandwiches and salads or opt for a DIY taco bar with all the fixings.
- Afternoon: Head to Gutter Chaos to continue the games (free arcade! BOWLING!) and grab a beer at this family-friendly establishment. We’d recommend an early dinner here, too!
- Evening: As the day winds down, gather around the campfire for some quality family time. Roast marshmallows, share stories, and sing songs together under the starry Oklahoma sky.
Day 3: Farewell and Fond Memories
- Morning: Savor a final breakfast together in the cabin, reminiscing about the unforgettable moments shared during your family reunion. Consider cooking up a special breakfast treat together, like homemade pancakes or cinnamon rolls.
- Late Morning: Take advantage of the beautiful Oklahoma scenery and get some professional family photos done by a local photographer. We love M+R’s work!
- Lunch: Have one last lunch out at The Oaks Steakhouse. We highly recommend the fried catfish.
- Afternoon: If you’ve got time, consider stopping at the Hochatown Petting Zoo, or shopping on your way out of town. Pick up some mementos to remember your reunion by and say goodbye to the charming town.
